Strand Electric Tripod Lamp

Strand Electric was founded in London's West End, anno 1914, and produced lighting fixtures and controle panels for the theatre world. In the interbellum, SE crossed the ocean and started serving Broadway. During the 20th century, Strand Electric -by then called Strand Lighting- evolved into a global-mastodont-player in the entertainment business. In 2008, SL became part of the Philips Entertainment Group, and recently celebrated its 100th birthday.

This Patt 264 lamp has a press steeled body and a beautiful hard glass eye. It is an eye-catching gem from the sixties, mounted on an impressive, high-rising land surveyor tripod.
